Help your child’s teacher and the school librarian grow their libraries by participating in the Birthday Book Club. You may purchase a paperback book ($7 for each), which will add to your child’s classroom library; and/or hardcover book ($16 for each), which will add to Lakeview’s library collection. A Birthday Book Club member will select the books from wish lists and place a bookplate inside the front cover of each book displaying the dedication information. The Librarian will then present the books to your child during his/her birthday month (or ½ year birthday month for June, July, and August birthdays). Your child will be the first to take the books home; the books are then returned to school so other students may enjoy them for years to come.
Let's Create Art Program
Our art program "Let's Create Art," is coming to classrooms this winter. Children by grade levels 1-5 will complete a fun, 3-dimensional art project that will be on display during the Festival of the Arts!

SmencilsSend your special student a Valentine Smencil (i.e. scented pencil) with a heartfelt message. Smencils will be distributed to the class in time for Valentine’s day. A great way to volunteer from home is to help with organizing the Smencils ordered by class.
Periodic snack sales are held throughout the year, allowing you to purchase bagels or muffins for your children for afternoon snack. These especially come in handy during half days. A volunteer or two is needed to pick up the snacks, assemble bagels with cream cheese or butter, and distribute the snacks to the classrooms.
Visit our school gear store! We offer a wide variety of shirts, pants, magnets, and bags, perfect for birthday gifts or holiday treats. Pick some up soon for those Spirit Wear Fridays, where you wear your spirit wear and show your Lakeview Pride! Help is needed to sell spirit wear at our events.

At various locations around the school, you might notice decorations that change with the seasons and bring a spot of cheer to our school! It's a great way to help exercise your decorating skills.
Communications - Cindy Trainor
As our school grows and lives get busier, we have an obligation to come up with new and creative ways to spread the word about the PTA and events as well as fundraising. Volunteers are welcome to help on our website, social media, print media, and spreading word around town.
ScholarshipsThe PTA provides three scholarships to Lakeview alumni in the early Spring. We are proud to provide these high school seniors with a small start on their higher education funding.

Our faculty and staff certainly deserve our support and appreciation. Each year we recognize our staff with our Welcome Back Luncheon and Staff Appreciation Day Luncheon. Help assembling gifts and setting up for luncheons is welcome.
